Yeah, I know. I thought that was from the Republican play book, though. I guess an "activist" is just a judge who disagrees with whatever political ideology the person using the term subscribes to.

It used to be the Republicans trying to trample our rights and shred the Constitution, but now the Democrats want to pick and choose which Constitutional rights we can hold onto, and which inalienable rights have become "outdated".

I don't agree with you.

But the majority of justices on the Supreme Court do, as well as apparently the majority of legislators in 40 out of 50 of the states. We have all heard your argument and we find it to be lacking.

I think it would be OK as long as
there is a player piano in the bar to
set the mood.
The other benefit to this law would be
all those pesky bottles and cans could
serve a purpose.
The bummer would be the ear protection
makes it hard to pick up on chicks.

I think combining guns with alcohol and the usual barroom macho will lead to some interesting results.

I don't know what kind of bars you frequent, but they sound like horrible sausage-parties. We have had a similar law in my state for some time now, and we have had no issues as a result of this law. Maybe you should think about the kind of people you are surrounding yourself with.

When I was living in Houston, TX a law was pased that allowed people to carry concealed guns to chuch. I'm not for a ban on all guns but I am on certain guns and I am against allowing concealed weapons.

That's funny because I do have a concealed carry permit, but I'm not a big fan of church.

I never said that I thought most people were reckless and incompetent. What I said was that if most people are law abiding, then guns aren't necessary

But you seem to be overlooking the fact that even though most people are law abiding, there are still criminals from which law-abiding people might wish to protect themselves.

If people aren't law abiding, then guns are dangerous....
